1. Enjoy & Have Fun
Please can't go into Wedding Photography if you don't enjoy weddings. You'll live through pressure and always consider that you only get a real chance at weddings. You cannot afford to screw it up. Working to tight schedule and receiving good social skills is essential as well.
2. Check Your Gear
Before you exit your home or studio regarding the wedding, check & re-check for you to camera gear, make sure all the camera batteries are fully charged and also the flash gun batteries as well should you use re-chargeable. I personally fancy re-chargeable batteries for each Nikon SB900 flashguns.
3. Have back-ups
Never go to elevate photograph a wedding with just a single camera body also a lens. You should have at a minimum 2 bodies. Try and shoot with a similar bodies. Don't have an expert body worth $3000 and also a back-up as a $400 body's. You need to find a like-for-like back up skin tone. I photograph with 2 bodies you must do a 3rd one as a back-up. 4. Insure Yourself & Your Business
It happens to be critical that you make sure yourself. Just like you'd probably insure your car & your home. You need to have sufficient insurance should the worst happen whether the set is stolen, a CF card does not work out and gets corrupted and possibly a hard drive failure, someone gets hurt or injured regarding your negligence while you're within the wedding. To cover in the past, you need to bump up:
- Public Liability Insurance
- Professional Indemnity Insurance

5. Don't Shoot in Continuous Mode
You for you to pick the moments still shoot. Shoot like an electric sniper, wait, aim and the most fire. Don't machine gun this all & anything that moves hoping of getting one more desirable image. 7. Don't Delete Images In-Camera
You could easily miss great shots if you're constantly 'chimping' and deleting images out of CF Card. You also have up more battery concentration of your camera and a cost-free risk the CF consideration going corrupt.
8. Reason Flash Creatively

9. Always Be One Step While watching Game
I always keep this book with me at all times:
- Schedule of the afternoon: Whats happening when
- Names of the very bridal party i. k parents, best man, ushers, bridesmaids, etc

- Spouse and children shot list
- The address for youngsters venues i. e should the bride is getting very pleased, church, reception venue
10. The Couple Should Spend time with... with their loved ones far from being with the photographer. Don't keep them away from everyone for quite some time. About 15-20 minutes to do the couple shots has ended enough and perhaps another 15 minutes or so late in the evening.
