I absolutely love animation! I recently dragged my husband to get mega hit movie, The movie avatar. OK, I really did not drag him, he would be a tiny bit curious. Like i said previously, I am a huge fan of the things animated - but he is not. To his credit, he kindly (and dutifully) accompanied me during jam-packed movie house. His sense of task was quickly replaced by rising interest for the story unfolded and the astounding technology of half software - half animation happened to be revealed. By the holiday weekend the movie, he was cheering by himself.
We were captivated via clear message of overcome, honor, and respect for the planet and all sentient beings, along with the insanely fantastic visual effects.
One one that profoundly struck me was the greeting which is available from the Na'vi people, "I help you. " This greeting implies appreciable link beyond seeing what is pretty obvious to the eyes. Just like the Sanskrit greeting, "Namaste", so "I bow reverentially to you. I honor the Style within you", the greeting "I see you" works out through out the movie to give you deep respect for the being. Jake, our main character, learns to truly take Neytiri, the blue-skinned native moggy who becomes his mentor gradually his partner. And he learns this kind of deep seeing leads in order to meet understanding and revering the interconnectedness off life.
In the lifetime of your busy day, you don't see others? Do you read the eyes of those around you and see the holy brightly shining back?
This is what explored in the almost holy space of spiritual counselling. In spiritual counseling, we listen exceeding our ears. And we see exceeding our eyes. We listen with our hearts for the being. We offer an opportunity be witnessed, to truly remain visible and be heard.
The eyes are often the window of the site. I see you.
