In these days of trying to do your wedding cheaply, many brides are want the ultimate "cheap wedding photographer" which amounts to a friend who "loves photography", an aspiring photographer who wants to create a portfolio and may be for "free" (or close to free) or even more difficult, Uncle Bob with or even "great camera" who takes most of the photos at the most people gatherings.
While I do educate yourself on the economic times well and having to cut corners like never before, I strongly advise against any one of the above options unless to, the bride, are willing to tear down photographic expectations to equal your financial troubles expectations. You simply cannot mean consistently beautiful representations in your day for free, or near to free. You are not happy, trust me. "Free" actually your friend when economic, but when all is said and done, it isn't and can result in a loss of somebody.
Let's look at this - when you start to look for very low priced photographer on a restricted budget, are you considering specialist the photographer who's work need about what they could be able to do to your or are you immediately going for the big three freebies stated earlier? Most seasoned, experienced wedding photographers will probably be dropping their prices with regards to economy. But, you have free wedding photographers, so..... let's review:
